Materials
1 hank of Super Bulky Yarn. Approx. 83 yds. (Twinkle Soft Chunky or Malabrigo Rasta work best) (2 hanks for 3-4 size) Vest Shown in Rasta Arch Angel 850, and Twinkle Soft Chunky Lilac 26
1 12mm Circular needle 60-80 cm
4 stitch markers
1 darning needle
1 1.5" button
Gauge: 8 sts = 4"/10cm in stocking stitch
Sizes: 6 months, 1-2 years, 3-4 years
Abbreviations: st= stitch, sts= stitches, k1= knit 1, p1= purl 1, k2tog= knit 2 together, ssk= slip 2 sts 1 at a time knitwise insert left needle tip through the fronts of these 2 stitches, knit these 2 stitches together; yo= yarn over, m1= make 1 by picking up the bar between stitches with the left hand needle tip and knitting into the back of this bar, so the new stich becomes twisted.

Cast on 22, (26, 28), at the same time, placing markers as follows:
6month: 4sts, place marker, 3sts, place marker, 8sts, place marker, 3sts, place marker, 4sts
1-2years: 5sts, place marker,3sts, place marker,10sts ,place marker, 3sts, place marker, 5 sts
3-4 years: 5sts, place marker,4sts, place marker,10sts, place marker, 4sts, place marker, 5 sts

Increase for yolk:
Row 1: (knit to marker, m1, slip marker, k1, m1), repeat ( ) 3 times more.
Row 2: k1, purl to last st, k1
repeat rows 1&2 until there are 54, (66, 76) sts, ending with a row 1.
Next row: k1,purl to 1st marker, remove marker, p1, cast off knitwise until 1 st remains before next stitch marker(stitch will be on right hand needle from casting off process), remove marker, purl until next marker,remove marker, p1, cast off knit wise until 1 st remains before next stitch marker(stitch will be on right hand needle from casting off process) , remove marker, purl to last st, k1
Next row: knit all stitches, pulling tight when knitting over cast off gaps
Next row: k1, purl 7, (9, 10), m1, purl 1, m1, purl to last 9, (11, 12) sts, m1, purl 1, m1, purl to last st, k1
